As the island is of volcanic origin, it is only safe to swim in the Atlantic when it is calm and without waves. In close proximity to the resort you will find three natural volcanic "pools" that fill with water at high tide, this way you have the opportunity to swim in the Atlantic completely risk free.
As the island of Lanzarote is of volcanic origin, you will find many natural unique features and beauties, to name but a few. For example, the Cueva de los Verdes cave labyrinth, the green lagoon at El Golfo, the Guinate Tropical Park with its small zoo, lagoons and waterfalls or the world of volcanoes in Timanfaya National Park.
