Plagne Centre is the crossroads of the ski resort with the exit to La Grande Rochette, one of the most beautiful panoramic spots with 360° views of the Alps. A well-known resort in the Tarentaise region, La Plagne, more specifically Plagne Centre, has been welcoming skiers since 1961. The resort started with just two chairlifts and four runs, but since then, considerable investment has been made. A large and well-equipped ski area, a wide range of accommodation, shops and entertainment at your fingertips... come with us to the heart of the resort, the Plagne Centre located at an altitude of 1970 metres. It includes 11 ski villages. From Plagne Centre, you can access the entire 225km ski area by using the Funiplagne Grande Rochette cable car, which takes you to an altitude of 2505 metres, or by using the various free bus routes that run to the other ski villages on the mountain. The La Plagne mountain massif has 135 pistes with a total length of 225 km: 8 green, 74 blue, 35 red, 18 black. 76 lifts, 131 km of cross-country skiing and hiking trails.Paradiski (La Plagne/Peisey-Vallandry/Les Arcs) has 261 pistes with a total length of 425 km and 128 lifts. The Plagne Centre is the meeting point of the various slopes and lifts, and is only comparable to Bellecôte. The new and improved Becoin lift quickly opens up the Mont Albert section of the resort and at the top is the Cretes lift, which leads to some epic black runs and one of the best powder zones in La Plagne. The Grande Rochete cable car offers spectacular views, red, black and easy blue runs to the south side of the mountain. La Plagne hosted the bobsleigh competitions at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville. Easily accessible from the Plagne Centre and the only one of its kind in France, the bobsleigh track offers first-time bobsleigh rides for adrenaline junkies.
