Situated at an altitude of 1,800 metres above sea level, the ski village of Plagne 1800 is a pleasant holiday destination in the middle of a large ski area. For skiers, access to the extensive La Plagne ski area, and therefore Paradiski, is easy and comfortable. 2 modern chairlifts take athletes in the direction of Aime La Plagne or Plagne Soleil and from there onwards to any point in the ski area. For the return journey to Plagne 1800, you can choose from 3 different slopes. In addition, there is a red run around the ski village and a deep snow run to La Roche, both of which start at the end of the chairlift "1800". The La Plagne ski area "Massif La Plagne", which, in addition to the high mountain resorts, includes the ski resorts of Montalbert, Champagny, Les Coches and Montchavin, has a total of 225 kilometres of pistes, which are divided into all levels of difficulty. Among them are numerous attractive runs with deep snow, especially on the Bellecôte glacier. Snowboarders can enjoy 1 snowpark with a U-ramp and 3 boardercross tracks, while cross-country skiers can enjoy 80 kilometres of ski tracks. Almost double the number of downhill kilometres are available to skiers who choose to explore the entire Paradiski area. Since December 2003, when the double-decker Vanoise Express cable car linked La Plagne and Les Arcs, the giant ski area has been able to offer almost 250 runs covering 425 kilometres of pistes. The Vanoise Express connects specifically the resorts of Les Coches in the La Plagne area and Peisey-Vallandry in the Les Arcs resort. Snowboarders in both areas can enjoy a total of 3 snowparks, 3 boardercross tracks, 4 boardergliss zones and 2 U-ramps. The Paradiski ski area offers 2 professional toboggan runs and more than 150 kilometres of tracks. In addition, of all the high mountain resorts in La Plagne, Plagne 1800 is the closest to the Olympic bobsleigh track in La Roche, built on the occasion of the 1992 Winter Olympics.
